* Was your first pregnancy planned?
sort of. we've been trying to get pregnant for years, unsuccessfully (long story). till nikki came, which took us by surprise.
* Were you married at the time?
yes. for more than 2 years
* What were your reactions?
giddy! there was this huge grin plastered on my face for weeks. and i keep rubbing my belly (ala genie in a bottle) coz i still can't believe it --- dreams do come true
* Was abortion an option for you?
no
* How old were you?
30
* How did you find out you were pregnant?
long story. i'll make it short as possible --- some guy at the mall asked me how far along i was. i didn't know then, just thought i gained too much. "just belly fat" i remembered telling him. turns out his wife was 3 months preggy and looked a lot like me (the body & belly). couldn't take my mind off that, so a week after and some fainting spells here and there, bought a kit and tested. true enough, i was 3 months on the way.
*Who did you tell first?
dwight. he knew first before i did. i peed and he took the stick, waited and checked.
* Did you want to find out the sex?
oh yes! we just can't wait to name our baby and start buying stuff.
* Due date?
august 28, 2006
* Did you have morning sickness?
luckily no
* What did you crave?
donuts from the local bakery bakery on our block! hahaha!
* Who/what irritated you the most?
nothing really. i was such a happy camper!
* What was your first child’s sex?
female
* Did you wish you had the opposite sex of what you were getting?
no. although for a while we thought we were having a boy.
* How many pounds did you gain throughout the pregnancy?
about 40 lbs or so, i think
* Did you have a baby shower?
yep. dwight co-workers threw me one.
* Was it a surprise or did you know?
definitely a surprise although dwight knew all along. i thought we were going to a little get-together among his office buddies.
* Did you have any complications during your pregnancy?
gestational diabetes. darn those donuts! hehehe!
* Where did you give birth?
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles California
* How many hours were you in labor?
not sure. have to ask dwight. 30 something hours???
* Who drove you to the hospital?
dwight, who else
* Who watched you give birth?
the only one who's in for the long haul - my dwight
* Was it normal delivery or C-section?
normal delivery
* Did you take medicine to ease the pain?
epidural. i thought i could make it without it. hah! apparently not!
* How much did your child weigh?
7 lbs
* When was your child actually born?
august 29, 2006. a day after her due date.
* What did you name him/her?
anika drea
* How old is your first born today?
1 year, 1 month, 2 weeks and 2 days old
Now I'm passing the ball to new mom, Elena; Lynette; Malou; Patricia; Maris and Misyel.

curious lang ko. wa diay ka ni-miss sa imong period yen? imagine, 3 months na diay kang preggers :) may gani, wala ka nagkiat while wala pa ka nakabalo. |

Pareha ta yen, somebody asked me if i was preggy, only then i had the home preg test done. =) I will have mine later ha coz im in the sleepless nights spell pa, my brain doesn't work kung kulang tulog =)

i was very irregular man mi. sometimes i would go on months without having one. another long story. nway, we just moved to LA so pwerteng alsa hakot, going up and down the stairs and jogging around the block. perte gyu'ng kupot ni nikki! =)

And you probably gave that man a sharp dirty look when he asked how far along you were. After 30 hours of labor, you really would need an epidural.
