Life offers us signs and signals. But almost always, we get too caught up in our lives, our work, our deadlines, our stresses, that we spend so much time stressing out on what isn't important, that we miss these signs. I think that in this hectic pace, in the pressures that we face, in the desperation and the exhaustion that we fall into at the end of each day ... we forget.
We forget what makes us truly happy, what puts a smile on our faces, a spring to our step, sunny skies to our days, music to our lives. And more often than not, it's the little things that reminds us of what matter most in our lives.
Funny isn't it. lt's the little things that we often take for granted. Perhaps it's because these little things tend to be more subtle and quiet, unlike those big flashy events that often overwhelm us and make us disoriented, that we lose the moment and the wisdom it imparts. It takes a couple more days for things to sink in, see the bigger picture and truly get the meaning behind the events that we were too caught up in.
The very small things, however, can have just as profound an effect as anything large and overwhelming,
The very small things, however, can have just as profound an effect as anything large and overwhelming,
a kiss on the forehead or holding hands under the sheets
and the splendor of just that simple connection
wet kisses, tight hugs and those tiny wobbly steps
and the pure exhilaration a little girl brings
finding the perfect pair of flats, those extra minutes under the shower, the smell of freshly brewed coffee and having downtime for yourself
getting a letter from the mail, a phone call from a friend
and knowing you've been thought of
having someone you love and respect
and him loving you back
and the splendor of just that simple connection
wet kisses, tight hugs and those tiny wobbly steps
and the pure exhilaration a little girl brings
finding the perfect pair of flats, those extra minutes under the shower, the smell of freshly brewed coffee and having downtime for yourself
getting a letter from the mail, a phone call from a friend
and knowing you've been thought of
having someone you love and respect
and him loving you back
Little things, simple things ... often missed out, yet they mean oh so much. All we have to do is slow down, STOP once in a while and look at the signs life is showing us.

I am speechless. Yes the message is very special. There's a lot of things we don't notice if we don't stop and notice the most important things in life. Thank you for the reminder.
