for nikki's contacts
Yesterday we went to Dr. Weimer for Nikki's 4 month check-up and immunizations. She got the same stuff she had when we went there for her 2nd month check-up. Still 2 shots each on each leg and one oral vaccine. Five all in all. Poor baby! She was so brave and didn't even flinch ... that is till the 3rd shot went it. But it was just a teeny weeny cry here and everything went fine after that. We were worried that you'd be mad at us for holding you and letting you get through all that, but you weren't.Brave little girl!

and now for some exciting (or not) pedia updates:

weight: 14 lbs .08oz
height: 25 inches
head circumference: 16 1/8 inches

guess what? your pretty doctor says you're just perfect! you're gaining weight, growing taller and hitting your milestones just as you should. yehey!!!

Since Nikki's pretty much sitting up now and we've noticed her watching our food more, the doctor agreed that it's time to give spoon feeding a try. But when I asked about supplementing with formula too ... she said we should do it one at a time. So now, we're giving formula a try first. Before we go into the rice cereal thing.

So I gave it a try this morning and geez, you should have seen the look on your face, sweetie! hehehhe! "ulk! yuck! what is that thing?" - you might be saying. She's very smart .... she knows darn well that the milk she loves comes from a boob and she looked at me like I'm an idiot convincing her otherwise. No matter how often i say it's "hmmm ... yum-yum ... mimilk ... hmmm", she knows better. Oh well, let's try another day.

Anyways, everything went well after the check-up ... that is after we got home. She looked tired and sick ... and she was. She suddenly was fussy at night and woke up several time crying. Her temp was 99.5 fahrenheit, I gave her a little dose of tylenol to help her out with the pain and slight fever. And as expected, it worked its wonder. She slept quite soundly. While I on the other hand was up all night. Turned out I wasn't feeling well myself ... and so was Dwight. I hope tomorrow's a lot better!
