photo assignment #4: being in the moment

i like being a passenger. i like to roll down the window, let the air blow through my hair and begin to breathe in images spinning by. and i try look beyond those images.
my mind runs a thousand thoughts per minute... constantly thinking.
my thoughts carry me to the past .... of childhood, of school, of friends, of family.
and of the future ... of what lies ahead and it holds for me, for my nikki, for my little family ... of places to go, of things to do, of people to meet. 

yet, more often, i bask in the moment ... with my head laid back, my feet propped up and my eyes dancing in the sight that's before me. i look at dwight, i look at nikki ... and my heart swells with love. i think of that very moment and nothing else.
that very moment is what my life is, everything else is just a picture in my mind.
with the two of them with me, the world doesn't matter. 

moments like that are what i live for.

this assignment proved to be quite difficult ... more so taking one in a moving car. i've held silent debates within, over posting "me" ... and i thought what the heck, what's there to hide. it's not like any sooner now, i'd miraculously turn drop dead gorgeous, or supermodel-thin. this is me ... with my virgin bushy eyebrows (yes, they're unplucked/ untweezed), my gazillion freckles, my rabbit ears, imperfect nose, not-so pretty lips and geeky eyes. but to these two beside me right now, it's the "me" that matters.
