everybody else seems so excited about our homecoming .... family, friends, dwight and perhaps even nikki (she shrieks everytime we call our families back home) ... everybody, except me. oh no, don't get me wrong. it's not like i'm dreading it, you-have-to-drag-me-on-the-plane-coz-i'm-not-leaving sort of thing. definitely not that. you could say my excitement is just so-so. what with so many things to do, plan and not to mention pack for the trip (yes my dears, i do all the packing! for 3 people!), i just don't have time to jump around, shake my toosh and do the happy dance.
plus the house is a disaster, one huge mess. we've taken out the luggage to decide on which ones to take and if we need to buy something else for the trip. a balikbayan box stuffed with nikki's things and a few pasalubong for family is awaiting for pick-up (i'm so glad that's off my list). a couple knicks-knacks that wouldn't fit in the box thus we have to lug it around with us on plane. 2 basket full of dirty laundry that have yet to be cleaned. and throw in the usual chaos that is nikki's play area, that's more than enough to take my mind off the upcoming uli pinas.
i am tired. so tired. and it's a friday. ugh! oh no, not friday already! i think i'm one of the few people out there (if not the only one) who's not happy for the weekend to come. the weekend for me means grocery shopping, doing laundry and getting stuff ticked off the long list of things to do before leaving. waaah, mabuang nako!!!!
i need a break. can't wait for sunday to come. can't wait to lie down under a tree, read a book and go people watching .... my own version of R & R. haayyyyy .....
but first, i have to tidy up the place ... back to work. although this project of cleaning up is going pretty well, it's taking a lot of time to get organized. apparently i mneed an extra 4 to 5 hours in my day to finish this all up. if someone could arrange for that, i'd be much obliged. and while you're at it, i also would like a pink dolphin and a hammock by the beach.
