as far as i could remember i love writing letters. up until now, i have a boxful of writing pads, stationeries, cards, stickers, envelopes, different colored pens and other writing what-nots. and as much i love sending them out, i love love receiving them. letters for me are real, unimagined, cannot be denied. words are not wriiten in the wind or on running water ... where it loses its substance.

it is physically here. it can be brought out, thrillingly unfolded and read time and time again ... to bring back memories, to relive half-forgotten pasts, to experience one love's presence. it is literally a touch of the hand, a pat one the back, a kiss on the cheek or one tight hug. for me, it defies all insecurities and uncertainties, because with it comes the knowledge that you are touching the very same paper the writer has sent with so much love.
