the big question now is: how much longer?
here i am at 36 weeks. the countdown begins. i've been counting down for weeks nows, but now i'm REALLY counting down! as soon as august came in, i felt this sudden panic. anytime soon, anika's ready to come out. it could be anywhere from a few days to 4 weeks or more from now.
i've been pretty cool ... pretty relaxed about this whole pregnancy thing. been one of the fortunate few who experienced little discomforts here and there. little and few, quite insignificant and really tolerable. i feel so ready to have the baby ... that is, till now.
when we came off from one of our classes, the nurse mentioned the variety of labor experiences mothers go through. then she went on to comment that some would have very difficult pregnancies yet surprisingly go through labor in just a few hours quite easily. and then there's some that their pregnancies went through like a breeze (like me!) yet have labor that lasts them hours and hours on end. (yikes!)
dwight and i stared at one another ... and i had this worried look on my face. just what i needed. something to scare me off and leave me with sleepless nights. oh please, let me go through it without any incident. i intentionally don't talk about pregnancy here in my blog to avoid labor stories. the scary ones in particular. i'd like to approach childbirth with a positive relaxed attitude. how does one do that? i guess i'll just have to change focus. think happy thoughts. and pray. that i can very well do.
all i know is i can't wait to see my baby. soon baby. i'll see you soon.
i dream of holding her against my chest, i dream of softly touching her face, i dream of those tiny hands wrapped around my finger, i dream of those beautiful eyes staring back at me. i can't wait to meet you our precious little one!

yeah don't worry about it. i agree with therese think about when you will see your baby and be able to hold her after 9 months of anticipation. I will pray for you that you will have an easy labor and delivery. :-)
