in a fog

i woke up this morning before the time i usually do. dwight had to leave early for work for a meeting. nikki was still sleeping. ah, good! i gingerly got up and checked my mails, while she snoozed.
it was such a pleasant surprise to see my classmates' photo submissions in my mailbox. for a while i was ohh-ing and ah-ing at the beauty that was staring back at me. the subject was clouds/ sky.
just as i was done with mails, i suddenly felt a pang of melancholia. was it the pictures? the stories behind it? the words? the thoughts?
i don't know ... i just felt sad. and felt wanting to leave this place for a while.
i guess i just have to go someplace ... to think, to listen ... to breathe.
maybe i just need a timeout .... or maybe i just need to go back to sleep.
