it's that time again for nikki's regular visit to her pediatrician. and the not-so welcome immunization set. i was half-anticipating that there'd be a huge cryfest after, but surprisingly there wasn't. the tears came after we tried waking her up from napping andhaving to force her to take the oral vaccine. (it was a good few minutes after the pedia checked us out that we had to wait for the shots. she was getting fussy, bored and tired so i decided to nurse her. and that got her so sleepy after). it took us some time to wake her up. i was holding her the entire time and after that last drop, she snoozed herself back ... that despite being poked twice for the rest of her immunization shots. was she that brave? or was she really that sleepy that she didn't mind the needle going through her thighs at all? or is she like mom, who takes in all the pain in silence? she sure had me scratching my head in disbelief.
now, nikki's progress notes:
weight: 15 lbs .08oz
height: 27 inches
head circumference: 17 inches
and just as expected, the pediatrician gave her the thumbs up. everything is well in order! except of course, the rolling thing. to which she again, told me, not to worry about. we just have to give her time to learn it i guess. and more time on her tummy too. which guiltily, i must admit, i don't do quite often. she hates being on her stomach and she pretty much showed her pediatrician just that when she tried laying her on her tummy. not a big fan of tummy time! duly noted! though, she sits up pretty well and holds objects in her hand, with hand transfers and all, which is a plus for her. and we discussed some other stuffin between. i had a couple questions myself (all written down in a yellow post-it) and we pretty much covered all my concerns for the moment.
so i guess, there nothing much to talk about here. for meantime, enjoy her recent photos:
